The Challenge
C&C Fabrications was approached by a developer working on a new apartment building project in Liverpool. The developer was looking to boost safety and security in the building’s car park by protecting the concrete columns located in high-traffic areas from vehicle impacts, to prevent structural damage and secure the safety of drivers and passengers. C&C was entrusted to implement a durable, long-lasting solution that could withstand frequent contact from vehicles and maintain the aesthetic quality of the car park.

The Solution
To address the challenge, C&C Fabrications recommended and designed custom column protectors. This solution included:
- Fabrication: C&C produced the column protectors to precise specifications, ensuring full coverage for the corners of each concrete column.
- Galvanisation and powder coating: For maximum durability, the protectors were galvanised to prevent rust and corrosion, followed by powder coating for a professional finish that will endure long-term wear.
- Installation: The installation took place within eight days from completion of the barriers and was coordinated with the developer to minimise disruption. C&C’s experienced team ensured that the protectors were securely fitted to provide full coverage and optimal protection.
The entire project spanned three weeks for fabrication, galvanisation, and coating, with a total of eight days allocated for installation.
